Edad de la Mineralización de wolframio del Valle de Pancanta y su implicancia en la Evolución del magmatismo de la región

EDAD DE LA MINERALIZACIÓN DE WOLFRAMIO DEL VALLE DE PANCANTA Y SU IMPLICANCIA EN LA EVOLUCIÓN DEL MAGMATISMO DE LA REGIÓN. En el Valle de Pancanta (Sierras Pampeanas de San Luis) se encuentra una faja vetiforme portadora de wolframio. Las vetas están alojadas principalmente en esquistos de bajo grado, pero también se encuentran dentro del granito La Escalerilla y en los plutones tonalíticos Las Verbenas y Bemberg; El granito ha sido datado por distintos autores arrojando edades radimétricas que lo ubican en el Cámbrico superior y en el Devónico inferior. No obstante una edad obtenida recientemente desde muscovita de la zona de alteración hidrotermal de la Mina Pancanta, estaría avalando la edad más antigua del granito La Escalerilla.
Abstract
WLFRAM MINERALIZATION AGE IN THE PANCANTA VALLEY AND THE IMPLICATIONS WITH THE REGIONAL MAGMATIC EVOLUTION. The wolfram district studied is located in the Valle de Pancanta (Sierras Pampeanas de San Luis). It is characterized for a veins mineralization, lodged in tonalite and granite plutons and in low grade schists; nevertheless doubts exist still in the geocronological relation among them. The granite La Escalerilla has been dated for different authors throwing ages that locate it in the Upper Cambrian and in the Lower Devonian. Nevertheless an age obtained recently from muscovite of the alteration zone of the Pancanta Mine would be attesting for the oldest age of the granite.
