BIODIVERSITY OF THE CRUSTACEA (ANOSTRACA, NOTOSTRACA, SPINICAUDATA, LAEVICAUDATA, OSTRACODA, AMPHIPODA Y BRACHYURA TRICHODACTYLIDAE)OF THE ARGENTINE MESOPOTAMIA. This paper provides update information about crustacean biodiversity: Anostraca, Notostraca, Spinicaudata, Laevicaudata, Ostracoda, Amphipoda and Brachyura Trichodactylidae from the mesopotamic region of Argentina and related areas. The data come from bibliography.
Three species of Anostraca have been registred Dendrocephalus brasiliensis, D. cervicornis and D. conosuris. No species of Notostraca neither Laevicaudata have been recorded. Spinicaudata is represented by Cyclestheria hislopi, Limnadia brasiliensis and L. santiaguensis. Among the 33 species of Argentinian non- marine Ostracoda, 7 have been documented for this area. The Amphipoda that occur are Hyalella curvispina and Corophium rioplatense. Ten records of Brachyura Trichodactylidae have been mentioned for this region comprising the genera Poppiana, Dilocarcinus, Sylviocarcinus, Trichodactylus, Valdivia and Zilchiopsis.
